Trevor Mallory’s Plan for St. Petersburg
-Put the Ability in Affordability: Trevor will work with state government, federal entities, and nonprofits, to ensure people can gain access to affordable financing so they can buy a home and build wealth.
-Ensure Resilience in Our City: Trevor knows we must invest in our city’s infrastructure to guard against natural disasters and help families recover faster after hurricanes hit. He’ll work to improve and speed up the permitting process so families can immediately start rebuilding. Trevor will also work to protect our green spaces and tree canopy.
-Invest in Our Youth: Trevor knows firsthand that when a city invests in its young people they are able to achieve incredible and improbable goals and the impact is felt by the entire community they live in. He’ll work to expand our city’s youth recreation programs and opportunities for young people beyond the athletic field.
-Keep Our Community Safe and Protect Our Neighbors: Trevor will ensure our first responders have the tools, training, and resources they need to respond to emergencies and live in our community. He’ll work to make sure that more of our police, firefighters, and EMTs come from the communities they serve.
-Better Our Quality of Life by Reducing Traffic and Improving Planning: Trevor will work with everyone in our community to ensure broad public input and plan carefully for St. Petersburg’s future. He’ll ensure equitable access to transportation, sufficient housing, and spaces for all businesses to find success.
-End Food Deserts in Our City: Trevor knows that food deserts exist in our city — especially on the South Side of St. Petersburg. He’ll support organizations that are actively working to provide healthy food options to our neighbors in food deserts.
